NetworkName(SSID)thenamethatyouspecifyforthebasicservicesetprovidedbythisVAP.
AllclientsthatwanttoconnecttothewiredLANthroughthis
VAPmustsettheirSSIDstothis
SSID.
NativeVLANIDisthe VLAN ID for this VAP. The access point assigns this VLAN ID to all client
traffic using this VAP unless you assign unique VLAN IDs to clients through the RADIUS server using
RFC 3580 (Section 3.31) tunnel attributes. For more information on tunnel attributes, see the
description under radio interface.
SecureAccessspecifieswhetherclientscanaccessthedefaultradiointerfacenetworkby
discoveringandautomaticallyconfiguringtheSSID,orwhetherclientsmustbealready
configuredwiththeSSID.Default:Disable
Enabledspecifiesthatthis
VAPdeniesaccesstowirelessclientsthatdonothaveits
networkname(SSID)alreadyconfigured.ThisVAPdoesnotbroadcastitsnetworkname,
sothatclientswithoperatingsystemslikeWindowsXPdonotseethenameshowupin
wirelessLANconfigurationdialogs.
DisabledspecifiesthatthisVAP
broadcastsitsnetworkname,andclientscandiscoverand
usetheSSIDtoaccessthisdefaultradiointerface’swirelessnetwork.Default:Disable
IBSSRelay: InconjunctionwithIBSSRelayControlsettings(seeFilterControl onpage 417),
controlswhetherclientsassociatedwiththisVAPcanestablishwirelesscommunicationswith
each
otherthroughtheAP.Default:Disable
IfyouenableIBSSRelay,clientscanestablishwirelesscommunicationswithotherclients.If
yousettheIBSSRelayControltoAllVA P,thenclientsassociatedwithallIBSSenabledradio
interfacesorVAPscanestablishwirelesscommunicationswitheachother.Ifyouset
theIBSS
RelayControltoPerVA P,only theclientsassociatedwiththesame(IBSSenabled)radio
interfaceorVAPcancommunicatewitheachother.
MaximumAssociations(0255)specifiesthenumberofclientsallowedtoassociatewiththis
VAP.
