Activity LED
TheDriveActivityLEDonthefrontpanelisusedtoindicatedriveactivityforeithertheSCSI
drives(SCSIconfiguredsystem)ortheATAdrives(ATAconfiguredsystem).Theserverboards
SE7500WV2andSE7501WV2alsoprovideaheadergivingaccesstothisLEDforadd‐inIDEor
SCSIcontrollers.
Drive Activity/Fault LEDs
NexttoeachharddriveconnectorisanActivity/FaultLED.TheLEDsareactivatedbythemicro‐
controllerandindicateeitherdriveactivityoradrivefailure.TheLEDscanbeseenfromthefront
ofthechassisbymeansofalightpipemountedinsideeachharddrivecarrier.During
initializationthemicro‐controllerflashestheLEDsforonesecondaspartofPOST.
Power Connector
TheSCSIbackplaneprovidespowertothethreedrivebays,supportinguptothreeharddisk
drivesortwoharddiskdrives,andtheoptionalfloppy/CDmodule.A6‐pinpowercableisrouted
fromthepowerdistributionboardandplugsintoa2x3shroudedplasticPCpowerconnector
(Molex:39‐29‐9066)ontheSCSIbackplane.Thefollowingtableshowsthepowerconnector
