Check the PC connection
The printer and PC are connected when the printer is
set up. Before you begin processing cards, make sure
the connection is complete.
The printer uses one data cable. It can be connected in
one of the following ways:
• A USB data cable can be connected to a USB port
on the PC and to the USB data port on the printer
(shown).
• An Ethernet data cable can be connected to the
network and to Ethernet data port on the printer. The
PC must also be connected to the same network.
• The printer can be connected to a network using a
print server. The PC must also be connected to the
same network.
• As a shared printer, where the printer is connected
to another PC on the network and the user’s PC is
connected to the network.
