94 Troubleshooting
116: Magstripe not available
The printer does not have a magnetic stripe option. The card will be canceled.
Remove magnetic stripe data from the card or use a printer that has a magnetic stripe option
installed.
Press the U
SER button on the printer to clear the message. On the PC, click OK to clear the
message.
HINTS & TIPS
 Look at the printer configuration label inside the printer component. If the label includes an
“M,” the system has a magnetic stripe option that is not working. Request service.
 To process the card without magnetic stripe processing, remove the magnetic stripe data
from the card design and send it again.
117: Reader not available
The printer does not support the personalization being requested for the card. The card will be
canceled.
Change the card data to match the printers options and settings or print to a printer that is
configured to support the personalization being requested.
Press the U
SER button on the printer, or click OK on the PC, to clear the message.
HINTS & TIPS
The printer component does not have a reader option. Remove the reader request from the card
and send it again.
120: User paused the printer
The printer was paused while printing.
To complete the current card press the printers U
SER button.
On the PC, click OK to clear the message and complete the current card, or click Cancel to cancel
the card.
HINTS & TIPS
 If the user pressed the button for several seconds, the card has been canceled.
 If this message occurs often, ask your system administrator to set the button sensitivity to a
lower value.
