Maintenance
This chapter provides information to help you maintain your printer for
optimal performance.
Maintain the Printer
The printer performs best when it is cleaned on a regular basis. Follow the cleaning guidelines for
your site to keep the printer in good working condition. Refer to the “Printer Cleaning Schedule”
on page 46 for cleaning best practices.
You can perform the following tasks to maintain the printer:
 Clean the Printer on page 47
 Clean the Printhead Cam Rollers on page 56
 Clean the Printhead on page 57
 Empty the Printer Reject Tray on page 59
If your printer system includes a laminator, refer to “Empty the Laminator Reject Tray” on
page A-11.
If your printer system includes the optional laminator, refer to “Clean the Laminator” on
page A-12 for information about cleaning the laminator.
