6. Adhesive displays on line 2 of the LCD panel. Press ENTER to
select the adhesive cleaning card.
7. Start displays on line 2 of the LCD panel. Press E
NTER to start
the cleaning process.
8. The Insert cleaning card message displays on the LCD panel.
Press the U
SER button to start the cleaning cycle.
The printer moves the card through the printer several
times. If the vertical transport is installed, the card moves
into the transport area and cleans the rollers located there.
At the end of the cleaning cycle, the adhesive cleaning card is
ejected into the printer reject tray (RT1).
9. Continue with “Prepare the Printer for Use”.
Prepare the Printer for Use
1. If you removed the ink ribbon and retransfer film cartridges:
a. Unlock the printer, if necessary, and open the printer access door.
b. Remove the used cleaning card and any rejected cards from the printer reject tray (RT1).
Refer to “Empty the Printer Reject Tray on page 59.
2. Install a new cleaning sleeve, if necessary. Refer to “Replace the Cleaning Sleeveon page 36
for the steps to follow.
3. Load a new ink ribbon, if necessary. Refer to “Replace the Ink Ribbon” on page 34 for more
information.
4. Replace the ink ribbon and retransfer film cartridges and close the printer access door.
When you clean a system with a laminator, the adhesive cleaning card moves
into the laminator after cleaning the printer and cleans the laminator rollers and
card entry area. The cleaning card is ejected into the laminator reject tray. Open
the laminator to remove the cleaning card.
