UsingtheSensorwithitsCap
TheSensorisattachedtostandardcottonbriefsatthepointofurinationbyplacingtheCaponthe
insideofthebriefs(touchingthepatient'sskin),andthemagnetsoftheSensoroppositetheCapandon
theoutsideofthebriefs.Inthecaseofmalebriefsthat
havea“flap”(openingforurination)theSensor
shouldbeplacedtowardsthebottomoftheopeningandontheinsidelayerofcloth.
Whenthepatienturinates,theurineisabsorbedby(soaksinto)thecottonbriefs.Whenthematerialof
thebriefsbetweenthetwomagnetsiswet,thesensorwillbetriggeredandawirelessONsignalsentto
theReceiver.RemovingtheSensor’smagnetsfromthewetbriefsstopsfurther
transmission.
