BatteryCharging
To charge
thebattery in an SSK (site survey kit) node, connectthe correct chargertothe socket on the back
plate BEFORE SWITCHING THE CHARGER ON. Switch the charger on, the status LED on the chargerwill show
reduntilthebatteryisfullycharged,whenthestatusLEDwillturn
green.
TochargethebatteryinanSSK router,connectthecorrectchargertothesocketmountedonthesideof the
housingBEFORESWITCHINGTHECHARGERON.Switchthechargeron,thestatusLEDonthechargerwillshow
reduntil the batteryisfullycharged, whenthestatus
LEDwill turngreen.NB‐thesame chargertype isused
forbothSSKnodesandSSKrouters.
Tochargethe battery in theHHM(handheldmonitor),connect thecorrectchargertothesocket located on
thebottomofthehousing.ThestatusLEDvisiblethroughtheHHMkeypad
willshoworangeuntilthebatteryis
fullycharged,whenthestatusLEDwillgoout.
TochargethebatteryinanSSKreceiver,connectthecorrectchargertothechargersocket.ThestatusLEDon
thechargerwillshowreduntilthebatteryisfullycharged,whenthestatus
LEDwillturngreen.
Note that when charging SSK batteries, the electronics are disconnected from the rest of the device, and
thereforethatdevicewillnotfunctionuntilchargingiscomplete.Onlythebatteryisconnectedtothecharger.
OnlythecorrectchargersmustbeusedforeachSSK
device.Batterieswillbedamagedifnotchargedbythe
correctcharger.


