6.6 Communication
The E-Print 202 must establish communications with the host device, which then sends the data
to be printed.
Communication occurs in two ways:
• Via a cable between the printer and the host device using RS232C
• By means of a wireless communication link (IEEE 802.15.1).
6.6.1 RS232C Serial communication
E-print 202 has a combined RS232/USB wired serial port.
1. Plug the 5-pin USB modular connector of your communication cable into the combination
RS232 port on the side of printer.
2. The other end of the cable should be plugged into the host device as illustrated below:
Caution: Do not disconnect the cable during printing; otherwise the printing quality may
be affected.
