DOOR PREPARATION AND CLEANING
• EnVivo barn doors must be stored vertically or horizontally. See image below regarding proper storage
• Store in a clean, dry area and protect from dirt, water, and abuse
• Prior to installing or painting, allow door to acclimate to the interior environment to which it will be
installed for a minimum of 24 hours
Unfinished/Primed doors should be painted with a high-quality paint on all six sides in accordance to the
paint manufacturer’s application guidelines
• Always have two people handle EnVivo barn doors, being sure to pick up and set down gently
• Be sure not to drag or push the doors across the oor, as damage can occur.
MDF Barn Doors: All primed doors require a thorough sanding prior to applying the final finishing coats
of paint. Primed doors should be painted with a high-quality paint on all six sides in accordance to the
paint manufacturer’s application guidelines.
For normal cleaning and maintenance, wipe doors with a clean, damp cloth using a mild detergent.
Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners and cleaning utensils as the painted surface could easily be damaged.
Wipe dry with a soft, clean cloth. Be sure to clean spills immediately.
Flush Laminate Barn Doors: For normal cleaning and maintenance, wipe the laminate with a clean, damp
cloth or sponge using a mild soap or detergent. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners and cleaning utensils as
the surface could easily be damaged. Wipe dry with a soft, clean cloth. Be sure to clean spills immediately.
Hardware: To clean matte black metal barn door sliding hardware use a damp cloth or sponge with a
mild soap or detergent. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners and cleaning utensils as the surface could easily
be damaged. Wipe dry with a soft, clean cloth.
