Type series SSG
Application: Igni ters for the cold and hot i gni t i on of h i gh
and ultra-hi gh pre ssure gas -discharge lamps for v i deo
and data pro j ectors , general i llumi nati on ( s uch a sstadi um
and s tudi o i llumi nati on, i llumi nati on of goodsin s tore s ),
and s peci al appli cati ons (endos copy i llumi nati on and m i -
cro d isplay TV).
Principle: The h i gh-voltage pul
s e s generated i n the i gni -
t i on c i rcu i t are s uperpos ed onto the lamp operati ng volt-
age s uppli ed by the ballas t . Thanks to the low losse s
i ncurred i n s w i tchi ng w i th s park gaps , the i gni t i on c i rcu i t s
can be d i mensioned s o that a few puls e ssuff i ce to i gni te
the h i gh-pre ssure gas -discharge lamp.
Type series FS
Application: Igni tersin xenon d ischarge lamps for auto-
moti ve headlamps a s well a sin auxi l i ary lamps u s ed i n the
cons tructi on and m i n i ng i ndus tri e s.
Feature: The F Sseri e sis designed to be u s ed w i thi n a
w i de temperature range –40 °C up to +170 °C w i th a
relati vely t i ght range of break down voltages. Normaly one
puls e is s uff i c i ent to i gni te the gas
d ischarge lamp.
Principle: A s des cri bed for the SSG .
1) The number of switching operations and the breakdown voltage occur-
ring during the component’s service life are significantly determined by
the ignition circuit parameters, i.e. by the capacitance of the ignition ca-
pacitor as well as the primary inductance of the high-voltage trans-
former. Because the layout of the circuits depends on the user, these val-
ues have not been included in the table. Data sheets with values for
switching operations and breakdown voltages obtained from standard-
ized test circuits are available upon request.

tung ( z. B . für S tadi en und S tudi o s , Effek tbeleuchtung von
Ver k aufs flächen und M ikro-Display-TV), S onderanwen-
dungen (Endoskopi ebeleuchtung).

Anwendung: Zündgeräte für Xenon-Gas entladungs lam-
pen für K f z -Fronts chei nwerfer, Zus atzschei nwerfer für
Bau- und Untertagetechnik.
Merkmal: Geei gnet für den E i n s atzinnerhalb e i nes
wei ten Temperaturbere i ches von –40 °C b is +170 °C und
e i nem relati v engen Durchbruchs pannungs bere i ch. Nor-
malerweise rei cht e i n Puls aus , um e i ne Gas entladungs -
lampe z u z ünden.

1) Die Anzahl der Schaltungen und Durchbruchspannung während der
Lebensdauer werden maßgeblich durch die Zündkreisparameter, d.h.
durch die Kapazität des Zündkondensators sowie die Primärinduktivität
des Hochspannungstransformators bestimmt. Die Auslegung dieser
Schaltungen variiert von Anwender zu Anwender. Daher haben wir diese
Werte in der Tabelle nicht aufgenommen, sie stehen jedoch auf Anfrage
zur Verfügung.
