August 2005 1:42 13 1 General information The in situ Adapter for the Eppendorf Mastercycler® and the Eppendorf Mastercycler® gradient enables in situ PCR reactions to be carried out on a specially developed carrier system. This allows the Mastercycler® and the Mastercycler® gradient to be used for the conventional PCR technique in different tube systems as well as for the in situ technique.

Contamination can be removed using water or a mild laboratory cleaning agent. The covering hood should be wiped using a moist cloth only in order to prevent water or other liquids from entering the lateral ventilation slits of the double chamber. Do not allow any parts of the in situ Adapter to come into contact with organic solvents or aggressive chemical.
