7.2. Mounting the instrument to the Bottle
Caution: Do not move the piston until
the Varispenser is completely mounted!
– Mount the instrument upon the
reagent bottle.
– In case of different bottle thread
select a suitable thread adapter.
(Further adapter sizes are available
as option.)
– Align the instrument with the bottle
label.
Note:
– The 1, 2,5, 5 and 10 ml instruments will directly attach to reagent bottles
with a 32 mm threaded neck.
– The 25, 50 and 100 ml instruments will directly attach to reagent bottles
with a 45 mm thread.
– For higher chemical resistance we recommend the adapter of PTFE
(see Accessories).
– A drying tube (see accessoires) can be connected to the instrument. Remove
the air vent cover (12) and screw the drying tube into the aperture. Filled with a
suitable absorbing agent, the drying tube (see accessoires) can protect sensitive
reagents against humidity or CO
2
