Never open any cover on the projector, except the lamp and filter covers. Dangerous electrical voltages in the projector can injure you severely.

Cleaning the Projector Case Before you clean the case, turn off the projector and unplug the power cord. ■ To remove dirt or dust, wipe the case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.

If dust collects on the air filter, clean it as described below. Dust clogs prevent proper ventilation and cause overheating and damage to the projector. You can replace the air filter while the projector is mounted to the ceiling, if necessary. The illustrations here show the projector placed on a table. 1.
