Getting Started on a Macintosh The instructions on the next few pages explain how to connect the USB/ Parallel Adapter cable to your iMac or G3 and how to install the printer software that came on the USB Printer Software CD-ROM.

To find out which operating system your iMac is running, select About This Computer in the Apple menu. Setting Up the Printer If you’ve been using your EPSON printer with your computer, the printer is probably set up already. If so, turn off your system and disconnect the printer from the computer.

You must remove the old printer driver and its INF file as described below before you can install the new USB printer driver. Follow the instructions on screen to uninstall your software. 5 If EPSON Status Monitor 2 is installed, you’ll need to uninstall it too.
