4. Select an entry number.
5. Enter a fax number, and then press Done. On the next screen, enter the recipient's name, and then press Done.
Note:
You can enter up to 64 digits for the fax number and up to 30 characters for the name.
To add a pause (pause for three seconds) during dialing, enter a hyphen by pressing
.
Enter an external access code at the beginning of the fax number if your phone system is PBX and you need the
access code to get an outside line. If the access code has been set in the Line Type setting, enter a hash (#) instead of
the actual access code.
6. Press Options, and then select the fax speed.
Note:

fax speed set in Setup > Fax Settings > Communication > Fax Speed is used by default. If communication errors
occur frequently with the recipient, or when the recipient is abroad, we recommend selecting Slow(9,600bps).
7. Check the registered information, and then press Done.
Registering Group Dial Entries
1. Enter Fax from the home screen.
2. Select Contacts > Add/Edit Contacts.
3. Select Group Dial Setup.
Note:
If you want to edit a group dial entry that is already registered, select Edit Contacts.
4. Select an entry number.
5. Enter the group name within 30 characters, and then press Done.

Select up to 30 speed dial entries to add them to the group.
Note:
A check mark appears for each of the selected entries. To deselect, press the check mark.
7. When you have nished adding speed dial entries, press Done.
Sending Faxes
Basic Fax Sending Operations
You can send faxes in color or monochrome (B&W). When sending a fax in monochrome, you can preview the
scanned image on the LCD screen before sending.
Note:
If the fax number is busy or a problem occurs, the printer automatically redials twice

one minute. Press Redial to
start redialing immediately.
You can store your default settings for sending a fax, such as the resolution, in the following menu.
Setup > Fax Settings > Send Settings.
