Copying Basics
1. Load paper in the printer.

Important:
When loading in the paper cassette, make the paper settings on the control panel.
When loading in the rear paper feed slot, select the rear paper feed slot as the paper source, and then press
the
x
button before loading paper.

Place the originals. If you want to copy multiple originals or make 2-sided copies, place all of the originals on
the ADF (ADF-equipped printers only).
3.
Select Copy on the control panel.
4. Set the number of copies using – or +.
5. Select color copy or monochrome copy.
6.
Check the settings such as the paper size and the paper type and change settings if necessary.
Note:
If you want to copy by reducing or enlarging the size of a document by a specic percentage, select Custom Size as
the Reduce/Enlarge setting, and then specify a percentage on the text entry screen displayed.
When using ADF, you can only copy on A4-size plain paper at the same magnication.
If you change any of the following settings, you cannot copy: Reduce/Enlarge: Actual Size, Paper Size: A4, Paper
Ty pe: plain papers. However, the reduce/enlarge setting is xed at Auto Fit Page if you select A4, 2-up Copy (ADF-
equipped printers only).
If you place originals that are larger than A4 size on the ADF, they are trimmed to A4 size (ADF-equipped printers
only).
7. Press the
x
button.

Copying Photos
You can copy multiple photos at the same time. You can also restore the colors in faded photos.
