User's Guide Network Settings Network Settings Network Connection Types You can use the following connection methods. Wi-Fi Connection Connect the printer and the computer or smart device to the wireless router. This is the typical connection method for home or office networks where computers are connected by Wi-Fi through the wireless router.
User's Guide Network Settings can connect the devices to the printer without having to use a standard wireless router. However, devices directly connected to the printer cannot communicate with each other through the printer. The printer can be connected by Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct (Simple AP) connection simultaneously. However, if you start a network connection in Wi-Fi Direct (Simple AP) connection when the printer is connected by Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi is temporarily disconnected.

User's Guide Refilling Ink ❏ To obtain optimum printing results, refill the ink tank to the upper line at least once every year. ❏ Do not shake too vigorously or squeeze the ink bottles. Ink consumption ❏ The ink in the ink bottle supplied with your printer is partly used during initial setup. In order to produce high quality printouts, the print head in your printer will be fully charged with ink.

Check that the ink tank moves to the filling position and aligns with the u mark. c Important: Do not put your hand inside the printer until everything has stopped moving. Note: To cancel refilling the ink tank, hold down the H button. 4. Open the cap of the ink tank. 5. While holding the ink bottle upright, turn the cap slowly to remove it.
User's Guide Refilling Ink c Important: ❏ Be careful not to spill any ink. ❏ Do not touch the top of the ink bottle after removing the cap; otherwise you may be smeared with ink. 6. Position the top of the ink bottle along the slot in front of the filling port, and then stand the bottle slowly to insert it into the filling port. c Important: ❏ Do not allow the top of the ink bottle to hit against any objects after removing its cap; otherwise ink may spill.
User's Guide Refilling Ink 7. Insert the top of the ink bottle securely into the filling port of the tank to refill the tank with ink. Ink pours into the tank just by holding the bottle normally without squeezing. The ink flow stops automatically when the ink is filled to the upper line. c Important: Do not leave the ink bottle inserted; otherwise the bottle may be damaged or ink may leak. Note: If the ink does not start flowing into the tank, remove the ink bottle and try reinserting it.
User's Guide Refilling Ink 8. When you have finished refilling the ink, remove the ink bottle, and then close the cap of the ink tank securely. Note: If any ink remains in the ink bottle, tighten the cap and store the bottle upright for later use. 9. Close the cap of the ink tank. 10. Close the printer cover.
