either direction along the carriage guide shaft. The carriage (CR)motor (a stepping motor) drives the timin9
belt which moves the carriage. The home position (HP) sensor detects the home position of the carriage.
NOTE: Carriage initialization for the
80-coIumn and 136-column models are different.
