1.5.8 Fusing Unit

The fusing unit fixes the toner to the paper using heat and pressure. This unit has a heater lamp,

thermistor, and thermal fuse. There are two types of fusing units, the 120

V type and the

220/240

type. The only difference between them is the heater

lamp.

1.5.9 Drive Unit

The drive unit consists of the main motor and a series of gears and clutches. It drives

transport rollers, OPC drum, sleeve roller, fusing roller, and some other mechanisms.
