The Computer
Won’t Start
If
your
computer
does
not
start
when
you
turn
on
the
power,
check
the
following:
1.
Is
the
power
light
on?
If
not,
remove
any
diskettes
and
turn
off
the
power.
Make
sure
the
power
cord
is
securely
connected
to
both
the
AC
inlet
on
the
back
panel
and
an
electrical
outlet.
Replace
your
main
operating
system
diskette,
if
necessary,
and
turn
on
the
computer
again.
Caution
If
you
turn
off
the
computer,
always
wait
at
least
20
seconds
before
turning
it
back
on.
This
prevents
damage
to
the
computer’s
electrical
circuitry.
2.
If
the
power
light
still
does
not
come
on,
check
the
electrical
outlet
for
power.
Turn
off your
computer,
unplug
the
power
cord,
and
plug
a
lamp
into
the
outlet.
Turn
it
on
to
see
if
the
outlet
supplies
power.
3.
If
you
installed
or
removed
any
of
your
system
components,
such
as a
disk
drive,
check
to
make
sure
you
have
reconnected
all
the
internal
and
external
cables
correctly.

You
may
have
installed
option
cards
that
exceed
the
system’s
power
requirements.
Check
the
power
requirements
in
Appendix
A.
4.
If
the
electrical
outlet
is
working
and
all
the
connections
are
secure
but
your
computer
still
won’t
start,
call
your
sales
representative
or
the
EPSON
Connection
for
assistance.
