Remove

the

retaining

screw

securing

the

hard

disk

drive

and

mounting

plate

to

the

horizontal

drive

bays.

Then

slide

the

hard

disk

drive

and

mounting

plate

in

the

direction

of

the

arrow,

as

shown

in

the

following

illustration,

and

lift

them

out.

3.

Remove

the

screws

securing

the

mounting

plate

to

the

hard

disk

drive.

You

can

store

the

mounting

plate

and

its

screw

or

replace

it

in

the

computer

and

secure

it

with

the

screw.

4.

Wrap

the

hard

disk

drive

in

its

original

packing

materials

and

store

it

along

with

the

screws.

5.

If you

removed

your

computer’s

only

hard

disk

drive,

disconnect

the

hard

disk

drive

ribbon

cable

from

the

main

system

board

and

store

it as

well.
