Tips for the first-time laser printer user
To get you off to a good start with your Epson laser printer, we offer
a few tips you may find helpful:
Remember to wait for the full page to be composed before it
prints and feeds out.
The printer takes about 45 seconds to warm up when you first
turn it on and up to 20 seconds thereafter to print a page of text.
When the
FEED
light on your printer control panel is flashing,
data is being received from the computer. When the PRINTING
message appears, your job begins printing.
Have an extra toner cartridge on hand before you reach
5000 copies.
Unlike a dot matrix printer, which allows you to print even with
a worn-out ribbon, you cannot continue to print without
replacing an empty toner cartridge. A TONER LOW message lets
you know that you must replace the toner cartridge after
printing up to 20 more pages. Then TONER OUT appears.
