If your product gets dirty or you need to move it some distance, follow the instructions in these sections.

Cleaning the Product
To keep the product working at its best, you should clean it several times a year.
Caution: Do not use a hard brush, benzine, alcohol, or paint thinner to clean the product or you may
damage it. Do not place anything on top of the cover or use the cover as a writing surface, or it could get
permanently scratched. Do not use oil or other lubricants inside the product or let water get inside.
1. Turn off the product.
2. Unplug the power cable.
3. Disconnect any connected cables.
4. Remove any paper from the product.
5. Clean the sheet feeder and paper support using a soft brush or a soft, lint-free cloth (microfiber is
recommended).
6. Clean the outer case with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent.
7. Plug the power cable back in, and turn on the product.
8. Clean the paper path, if necessary.
Note: Close the paper support and the output tray when you are not using the product to protect it from
dust.
