You can change the processor speed temporarily by entering
one of the following
co
mmands
from the numeric keypad on
your keyboard:
0
To select low speed, press
[cblIIAlt[yl
CI
To select high speed, press
[Cb11[=G71
(Hold down the
m
key and the
[Alt)
key simultaneously
and then press the
[+I
or
a
key on the numeric keypad.)
Note
You can use the commands listed above while you are
running a program. However, if the program uses one of
these co
mmands
for another function, you cannot use it to
change the processor speed. For example, if you are running
a program that uses the
[w[y]
-
command
to
move

the cursor, you cannot enter
[cbll[Alt)I-J
to change the
processor speed to low. You can, however, enter the
command at the MS-DOS command prompt
The speed setting
r
emains in effect until you do the following:
Cl
Turn off the computer
0
Change it with another keyboard command.
