Removing a Disk Drive from the Horizontal Position
The figures in this section show a diskette drive in the lower
horizontal drive bay, but you can use the same instructions
to remove a hard disk drive from the lower bay or to remove
a diskette drive from the upper bay.
Follow these steps to remove a drive from a horizontal drive
bay:
1. Remove the disk drive ribbon cable from the back of the
drive, as shown below.

2. Remove the power supply cable from the back of the
drive. It is located near the ribbon cable interface, as
shown in the next illustration.
