Selecting Language, Subtitles, and Camera Angles
Some DVDs allow you to display subtitles or select from several languages or camera angles. If
these features are available, you can use the buttons on the remote control to select them.
1. Press the appropriate button on the remote control:
To change the language of the video, press .
To display subtitles, press . You may have a choice of
subtitle languages.
To change camera angles, press .
2. Press the button repeatedly to display the options available.
3. Press to select the setting you want. Wait a few seconds or
press .
Note: You can also use the Language Setup menu, as described on page 41. For a list of language
codes, see page 67.
Searching for a Specific Time
You can search for a specific time to begin playing a video (from the start of the title), or from
the beginning of a music CD. After you start playing a music CD, you can search from the
start of the current track.
Note: This feature may not be available on all DVDs or CDs.
1. Press twice. The on-screen menu is displayed:
2. Press until is highlighted, then press .
3. Set the toggle switch on the remote control to the
-123 position.
4. Enter the time using the numeric buttons.
For DVD videos, enter the time in hours, minutes, and seconds. For example, to play
a video from 0 hours, 23 minutes, and 45 seconds, press the numeric buttons in this
order: , , , , . If you make a mistake, press to delete it, then
enter the correct number.
For music CDs, enter the time in minutes and seconds.
5. Press .
