3.3 Writing your first program
After installing the controller, robot, and EPSON RC+ 5.0 software on your PC,
follow these instructions to create a simple application program so that you will
become more familiar with the EPSON RC+ 5.0 development environment.
1. Connect your PC to the RC180 Controller
Install a USB cable between your PC and the Controller. Refer to the 3.2
Development PC Connection Port.
2. Start EPSON RC+ 5.0 Simple Mode
Double-click the EPSON RC+ 5.0 Simple icon on the desktop.
3. Create a new project
(1) Select New from the Project menu.
(2) Type in a name for a project, for example, FirstApp.
(3) Click OK to create the new project.
When the new project is created, a program called Program.prg is created.
You will see a window open with the title Program.prg with a cursor
flashing in the upper left corner. Now you are ready to start entering
your first program.
