You see banding (light lines).
■
Clean the print head; see
page 61 for instructions.
■
Select a higher print quality and
turn off
High Speed
mode; see
page 45 (Windows) or page 48
(Macintosh) for details.
■
Select the correct Type
(Windows) or Media Type
(Macintosh) for your paper; see
page 49.
■
Make sure the printable side of
the paper is face up. It’s usually
whiter or shinier.
■
Choose
Best Photo
in the
Quality Type setting
(Windows).
■
Make sure
Maximum
is not
selected as the printable area
setting in your printer software;
this may cause banding in the
expanded area.
■
The ink cartridges may need
replacing. To replace them, see
page 63.
■
Try using Automatic mode
(Macintosh only); see page 41
(OS 8.6 to 9.x) or page 43
(OS X).
■
Align the print head as
described on page 68.
■
Select MicroWeave if the setting
is available.
■
Set the paper thickness lever to
the
0
position. Set the lever to
the
+
position when you print
on thicker paper or envelopes.
You may also need to turn off
High Speed
(in the Advanced
window).
