Your printer icon doesn’t appear in the Chooser (Macintosh)
When you select your printer in the Chooser, you see a message that it can’t be
used
You get a type 39 error on the Macintosh
Fixing Paper Problems
You can avoid most paper handling problems by doing the
following:
◗ Use smooth, high-quality media designed for ink jet
printers that meets the media specifications in the
Appendix.
◗ Follow all loading and handling instructions included with
the media.
◗ Load the media with the printable side face up, as described
in the Quick Setup guide or Chapter 3.
If you have problems with paper feeding, paper jams, or ejected
paper, check here for solutions.
Possible cause Solution
Your system has extension
conflicts.
In the Extensions Manager, disable Quick Draw GX. Make sure
EPSON Monitor2 and EPSON Stylus Color are enabled, then restart
your Macintosh.
Possible cause Solution
A system crash may have
corrupted your printer
software.
In your Extensions folder, delete
EPSON Stylus (EX), EPSON
Monitor2, and the EPSON folder. Then reinstall the printer driver
software.
Possible cause Solution
You’re using System 7.5.2 Run a printer check as described on page 6-2. If the printer works
correctly, remove and reinstall your printer driver software. To
remove it, delete
EPSON Stylus (EX), EPSON Monitor2, and the
EPSON folder from your Extensions folder. Then reinstall the
driver. You may also need to upgrade your system software.
