2. Select the printer you want to monitor from the Installed

Printers list, and then click

Monitoring Preferences

on the

Settings menu. The dialog box below appears.

The following settings are available:

❏ Monitoring Interval

You can adjust the monitoring interval by dragging the slider.

Note:

Setting a short monitoring interval may slow down some

applications.

❏ Background Monitoring

Select this check box if you want the Status Alert dialog box

to appear automatically and inform you of the printer status

while you are using some application programs. Use the

Status Alert options to select when you want the Alert dialog

box to appear.
