Press the button.
The Power light starts flashing and the head
cleaning starts (it takes 2 to 13 minutes.) The
cleaning is finished when the Power light is on.

Print a nozzle check pattern, and check the
result.

Power cleaning
If the nozzles are still clogged after performing head
cleaning a few times, perform power cleaning.

Press the button to enter the Menu mode.
B
Press the / button to display
MAINTENANCE, and then press the button.
C
Press the / button to select CLEANING,
and then press the button.
D
Press the / button to select POWER
CLEANING, and then press the button.
E
Press the button to execute power cleaning.
PLEASE WAIT appears on the LCD panel. It
takes about 4 minutes to complete power
cleaning.

Print a nozzle check pattern to see if there are
any missing dots.

Note:
O If the nozzles are still clogged after cleaning
the print head a few times, perform power
cleaning.

O Power cleaning process consumes more ink
than normal cleaning.
O If the nozzles are still clogged after
performing the power cleaning, turn off the
printer and leave it overnight or longer, so
that the ink may dissolve.
If the nozzles are still clogged, contact your
Epson dealer.
O If the CLEANING ERROR appears on the
LCD panel, see the following section to
solve the problem.
