Thissectiondescribesproceduresfordisassemblingthemaincomponentsoftheprinter.Unlessotherwise
specified,disassembledunitsorcomponentscanbereassembledbyreversingthedisassemblyprocedure.
Thereforenoassemblyproceduresareincluded.Precautionsforanydisassemblyorassemblyprocedureare
describedundertheheading“Disassembly/AssemblyPoints.”Adjustmentsrequiredafterassemblingtheunit
aredescribed undertheheading “RequiredAdjustments.”
3.1.1Precautions for DisassemblingthePrinter
Seetheprecautionsbelowwhendisassemblingtheprinter.
❒Disconnectthepowercablebeforedisassemblingorassemblingtheprinter.
❒Wearprotectivegogglestoprotectyoureyesfromink.Ifinkgetsinyoureye,flushitwith
freshwaterandseeadoctorimmediately.Ifinkcomesintocontactwithyourskin,washit
offwithsoapandwater.Ifirritationoccurs,contactaphysician.
❒AlithiumbatteryisinstalledontheC184MAINBoardofthisprinter.Besuretoobserve
thefollowinginstructionswhenservicingthebattery:
1.Keepthebatteryawayfromanymetalorotherbatteriessothatelectrodesofopposite
polaritydonotcomeincontactwitheachother.
2.Donotheatthebatteryorputitnearfire.
3.Donotsolderonanypartofthebattery.(Doingsomayresultinleakageofelectrolyte
fromthebattery,burning,orexplosion.Theleakagemayaffectotherdevicesclosetothe
battery.)
4.Donotchargethebattery.(Anexplosivegasmaybegeneratedinsidethebattery,and
causeburningorexplosion.)
5.Donotdismantlethebattery.(Thegasinsidethebatterymayhurtyourthroat.Leakage,
burning,orexplosionmayalsoresult.)
6.Donotinstallthebatteryinthewrongdirection.(Thismaycauseburningorexplosion.)
Thereisdangerofexplosionifthebatteryisincorrectlyreplaced.Replaceonlywiththesameor
equivalenttyperecommendedbythemanufacturer.Disposeofusedbatteriesaccordingto
government’slawsandregulations.
Risqued’explosionsilapileestremplacéeincorrectement.Neremplacerqueparunepiledu
