4.1ADJUSTMENT - OVERVIEW
Thissectiondescribesadjustmentsrequiredwhentheprinterisdisassembledandassembledafterrepair.
Sincethisprinterhasbothablackandcolorhead,itneedsnewadjustmentsnotrequiredforpreviousprinters.
Refertothefollowing table toperformtheappropriateadjustments.
❏Alwaysperformadjustmentsintheorderindicated.
❏Afterperformingsteps1-5,dothecleaningoperationfortheblackandcolorprintheads.
Thecleaningoperationisnecessary,becauseprintingsamplepatternsfortheheadangle,
Bi-Dalignment,andtheheadgapincreasestheviscosityoftheink,andtheprinterwill
notprintthecorrectvalue.Forinstanceifyoureplacetheblackhead,youmustdothe
followingadjustmentsintheordershown:
(1)Blackheadangle,(2)black-colorheadvertical,(3)headgap,(4)Bi-Dalignment.
❏Afterremovinganinkcartridge,alwaysinstallanewcartridgeimmediately.During
adjustmentsandtesting,usecartridgesdesignedexclusivelyforservice
(Monochrome:1020626,CMY:1027990)

NOTE: The destination data writing operation (see Section 4.1.2) is performed automatically
when you quit the program from the adjustment main menu and turn off the printer.
When you need to replace the printer mechanism, you will find the head data information
written on the outside of carton containing the printer mechanism.
