Scanning on a Macintosh

You can even convert your scanned image into editable text

without using PageManager’s

OCR

button—just click the

SimpleText button or another word processing application on

the Scan Buttons Palette to begin scanning and processing your

text document. When your word processing application opens,

you’re ready to edit.

Follow these steps to add scan buttons or change settings:

1. From the PageManager File menu, select

Scan Buttons

Setting

. The Scan Buttons window appears.

2. If necessary, click the

Properties

tab. To add an

application to the Scan Buttons Palette, click the

Add

button. You see the Add scan button window.

PageManager

automatically recognizes

your fax and e-mail

applications. It also

assigns the driver for

whatever printer you

selected in the Chooser

to the printer button.

Click here only if

you won’t need

to change these

settings or

select an area

when you scan.
