This feature is used for many types of color matching.
SC-P400 Series User's Guide Maintenance Maintenance If the check pattern appears faint or contain gaps, the nozzles are clogged. Perform head cleaning to clear any clogged nozzles. Adjusting the Print Head Nozzle checks can be performed using either of the following methods. Load plain A4 paper in the auto sheet feeder. This feature is not available for other feeding methods. You need to adjust the print head if white lines appear in your print outs or if you notice the print quality has declined.
SC-P400 Series User's Guide Maintenance B Turn the printer off. C Press the P button while pressing the I button. D ❏ If the nozzles are still clogged after you have performed around four cycles of nozzle checks and head cleaning, turn the printer off, wait for at least six hours, and perform a nozzle check and head cleaning again. Leaving the cartridges undisturbed for a period of time may allow the ink that is causing the clog to dissolve. The printer will turn on and print a nozzle check pattern.
SC-P400 Series User's Guide Maintenance Ink Density Optimization B Select On or Off for Auto Ink Density Optimization. C Click OK to close the dialog. Eliminates inconsistencies in ink density within the cartridges for consistent color reproduction. The print head is moved left and right to uniform the ink density. SC-P400 Series User's Guide Maintenance Replacing Ink Cartridges Correcting Print Misalignment (Print Head Alignment) Ink Cartridge Product Numbers Because there is a small distance between the print head and paper, misalignment may occur due to humidity or temperature, the inertial force of the print head's movements, or by moving the print head bidirectionally. As a result, print results may appear grainy or out of focus.
SC-P400 Series User's Guide Maintenance Ink color Product number c Important: Magenta (M) T3273 Yellow (Y) T3274 Red (R) T3277 Matte Black (MK) T3278 Epson recommends the use of genuine Epson ink cartridges.
