Preparing for transport
Follow the steps below before you transport the TM-J8000 printer.
1. Perform the ink discharging sequence. See the “Ink discharging sequence” section in this
chapter.
2. Remove the power cord and all the cables from the printer.
3. Pack the printer in the specially made packing box, along with the accessories for the TM-
J8000.
Note:
The following are instructions for the end user. Be sure to tell customers these things before they send the
printer back to you for repair.
1. Turn off the printer power using the front power switch. Be sure the POWER LED goes out; then
turn off the rear power switch. This operation caps the ink jet head to keep it from drying out.
2. Remove the ink cartridge and paper roll.
3. Remove the power cord and all the cables from the printer.
4. Pack the printer in the specially made packing box for the TM-J8000.
