Pump unit
CAUTION:
To maintain print quality, do not let any objects touch or contact the cap and cleaning
plate on the Pump unit.

Follow the steps below to disassemble the unit.
1. Perform the head exchange sequence using the TM-J8000 Service Utility. See the “Head
exchange sequence” section in Chapter 5.
2. Remove the covers so you can access the
Mechanism assembly, M-J8000
. See the “Covers
and upper case” section in this chapter.
3. Remove the connector box and disconnect the two
Pump unit
cables. See the “Connector
box” section in this chapter.
4. Remove the three screws (C.C.S-tite, 3 x 5).
