The printer uses these signals to control stopping of the cutter motor and to detect errors related
to the cutter mechanism.

Autocutter mechanism
The autocutter mechanism consists of a transmission mechanism, a detection mechanism, and a
cutter mechanism. For information about the detection mechanism, refer to "Cutter detection
mechanism" in this chapter.
Transmission mechanism
This mechanisms consists of the following components: cutter-motor gear ("Gear, motor AC")
mounted on the shaft of the cutter motor ("Motor, AC"); reduction gear ("Gear, reduction AC "),
transmission gear ("Gear, transmission AC"), a pair of pulleys ("Pulleys, belt drive AC"), a belt
("Belt, carriage AC"); and the carriage drive shaft ("Shaft, carriage drive"), which is fixed to the
belt.
