Control panel operation
To operate the cut sheet feeder from the control panel when the
printer is in cut sheet feeder mode, be sure that the printer is off line.
LINE FEED:
Press to feed the paper one line, or hold it
down to feed the paper continuously.
FORM FEED:
LOAD EJECT:
When there is no paper in the printer, press
to load the paper manually. (However, note
that paper loads automatically when you
print.) When there is paper in the printer,
press to eject the sheet without loading the
next sheet.

Software operation
The following commands cause the printer to eject the sheet in the
printer without loading
the next
sheet. The printer must be on line
to control the cut sheet feeder with software commands: FF and ESC
EM R.
Note: The ESC EM command controls the operation of the cut
sheet
feeder. For more information about this command, see
Chapter 8.
If
the
paper reaches the bottom of the print area when any of the
following line feeding commands is used, the
sheet
in the printer
is automatically ejected and the next sheet is loaded: LF, VT, and
ESC J.
