With this status, the two leds are OFF.
In the case where no communication can be established with the modem:
Check the RS232 connection between the DTE and the modem (DCE),
Check the configuration of the COM port of the DTE.
5.1.3.3 The ERCO & GENER application EasePro-V2.xx
The GenPro 25e contains the application EasePro_V2.xx.
Send the command ATI8. The modem returns the version (example of display)

5.1.3.4 The owner application
The GenPro 25e contains your application.
Connect the RS232 link between the DTE (the COM port) and the modem (DCE).
Set the RS232 port of the DTE according to your parameters (speed, data bits, parity and stop bit).
Use a communication software like Windows HyperTerminal ®.
Check the display and the dialogue with the GenPro 25e according to your own characteristics.
5.1.4 SIM card extraction
To remove the SIM card from the modem, it is recommended to do the following operations with the modem
turned OFF:
- Remove the SIM card cover on the back side.
- Press the SIM card (simple pressure) until hearing a "clic" that ensures its ejection.
- Remove delicately the SIM card from the reader.
- Put the SIM cover back.
5.1.5 Hardware reset of the modem
To trigger a Hardware reset of the modem, a RESET signal (hardware) is available on the pin 14 of the 15-
pin Sub HD connector (RESET).
The modem Reset is done when the RESET signal (pin 14) is downwards during 10ms.
This signal must be considered as a way of reseting the modem in case of emergency only.
