6.2 "ERROR" message
The modem returns a message "ERROR" (in response to an AT command) in the following cases:
The COM port is not directed to the modem GenPro 25e but to another modem. Enter ATI0, the
response must be "LEON-G100-xxx-yy". Any other response indicates a dialog with another
modem. In this case, check the COM port used in Hyperterminal.
The syntax of the AT command is incorrect: check it with the AT Command List of the application
The syntax of the AT command is correct, but transmitted with wrong parameters:
- Enter the command AT+CMEE=1 to obtain an error message with its error code instead of a
simple “ERROR” message,
- Enter again the AT command which previously caused the "ERROR" message in order to
obtain the error code.
In case of an error code, the response of the modem may be:
+CME ERROR : < error code >
For more information about the error codes returned after sending the command AT+CMEE, see the
document "u-blox_AT_Commands_Manual_xxx.pdf"
With the transparent mode application it is strongly recommended to systematically allow the
modem to return the error codes (enter the command AT+CMEE=1).
