7.2.2.2 Charge voltage and power supply voltage
The following table shows the consumptions of the modem when the GSM antenna and the SIM card are
present.
These values were measured after a complete discharge of the battery.
Table 18 : Consumption of power supply (2*) GSM
CONDITIONS I Charge Nom.(mA)
T=25°C Without RS232
External supply voltage @ 7.2V 174
@ 12V 105
@ 24V 55
@ 32V 43
(2*) The power supply consumption may vary by 5% depending on the temperature range
(-20 °C to +55 °C).
7.2.2.3 Indication of presence/absence of the external power supply
The modem contains the EGM standard library (see the documents "EG_EasePro_V2.xx_CL_yyy_UK.pdf");
in this case, the command AT+GPIOGET=27 allows to know the status of the external power supply for the
internal battery.
AT+GPIOGET=27
<Index>
1 indication of absence of external power supply
0 indication of presence of external power supply
Table 19 : Examples of responses with internal battery option cabled
Command Response Interpretation
AT+GPIOGET=?
+GPIOGET: (0-37)
OK
Syntax
AT+GPIOGET=27
+GPIOGET: 27=0
OK
External power supply present
AT+GPIOGET=27
+GPIOGET: 27=1
OK
External power supply absent
The indication of presence/absence of the external power supply is valid only if the battery
option is present.
In standard mode (without battery option), the response is +GPIOGET: 27=1
