7. TROUBLE SHOOTING
Make sure the log splitter is unplugged, before carrying out any
maintenance jobs!
PROBLEM
PROBABLE CAUSE REMEDY SUGGESTED
No current in the socket. Check mains fuses.
Electrical extension line
defective.
Unplug, check and replace.
Incorrect connection line. 5-line connection at 1,5
mm

diameter.
Motor does not start.
Switch defective. Have checked by
electrician.
Incorrect motor
rotation direction.
Incorrect connection. See chapter 4 point 6.
Valve is not opened owing to
the connection parts
loosening.
Check and tighten the
parts.
Control levers or connection
parts bent.
Repair the bent parts.
Log splitter does not
work while motor
running.
Too low hydraulic oil level. Check and refill hydraulic
oil.
The log splitter works
with abnormal
vibration and noise.
Lower hydraulic oil level. Check and refill hydraulic
oil.
Warning: always respect the regulations in force for disposing of old oil (not
in the sewer!). Use oil of the same kind as that already in the machine; do
not mix different types of oil!
