Using Internet through mobile networks
 This notice is only for the models with a Mobile Broadband Modem.
X To make a connection
1. Execute the Wireless Manager icon on the Desktop or click Start > All Programs > Ericsson Wireless
Manager 5 > Wireless Manager.
2. When the SIM card is properly installed, the mobile network profile is automatically loaded.
3. After the network profile is successfully loaded for the corresponding SIM card, click the Connect button to
access the network.
If ‘No SIM Card’ message appears, insert the SIM card or check the SIM card is fully inserted. (To check the SIM card or change
the card, first turn off the system power and remove the battery.)
In case the ‘No Connection Profile’ message appears, check the network information for the SIM card and add the proper network
profile in Settings > Profile.
X Guide to Wireless Manager
1. Radio: Enables or disables the Radio.
2. View: Displays the sub menus of Wireless Manager.
3. Help: Displays the help of Wireless Manager.
4. Windows control button: Use to change the window mode or exit the program.
5. Connection Info: Displays the network connection status. Also use it to connect or disconnect the network.
6. Signal strength: Indicates the service type and the signal strength of the connected network.
Caution: In order to reduce the power consumption, the signal strength is not changed when the network is continually connected
or searched.
7. Text Messages: Provides the text messaging service.
8. Phonebook: Can use the address book.
9. Settings: Configures the settings for Wireless Manager.
In order to access internet through mobile networks, the SIM card must have been
installed on your notebook computer. If the SIM card is not inserted or the inserted SIM
card does not support the services, you cannot use it.
