2.1 Windows 2000 Installation
In order to install the device driver for Windows 2000 the user must have administrator privileges. For
these Windows versions non plug-and-play capable CAN modules (ISA, PC104 and Parallel Port) are
supported by installing the Windows NT driver which is described in chapter 2.1.2.
2.1.1 Driver Installation of Plug-and-Play Capable CAN Modules
A non-USB module has to be plugged in before the Windows startup, an USB based CAN module may
also be plugged in while Windows is running. Windows will indicate the detection of the new hardware
by launching the
Found New Hardware Wizard
. Click
Next
to proceed with the installation.
