2.2 Windows XP/Server 2003 Installation (32- and 64-Bit Version)
In order to install the device driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 (32-bit and 64-bit) the
user must have Administrator privileges. For the 64-bit Windows versions only plug-and-play capable
CAN modules (PCI, PCIe, CPCI, PMC, PCI104 and USB) are supported. For the 32-bit Windows
versions the non Plug and Play capable modules are supported via the Windows NT driver. See chapter
2.1.2 for details.
2.2.1 Driver Installation for Plug-and-Play Capable CAN Modules.
A non-USB module has to be plugged in before the Windows startup, an USB-based CAN-module may
also be plugged in while Windows is running. Windows will indicate the detection of the new hardware
by launching the Found New Hardware Wizard. Select
