Fifth-card installation of CS-ASC (ESI-100 only)
To install a CS-ASC as the fifth card in an ESI-100 (requires system software 12.5.41.0 or higher), attach a
second Expansion Cabinet to the Expansion Cabinet that you attached to the Base Cabinet, and install the
ASC in the second Expansion Cabinet as Port Card 5, as shown in the graphic below. Note that the left-most
slot in the second Expansion Cabinet, shown here as Slot #6, is unused.
Use of Ethernet connectors
• CS-SIP24 or CS-SIP8 — Both Ethernet
®
connectors must be connected to the private local area
network (LAN).
• ASC — Only Ethernet Connector #1 must be connected to the private LAN.
