Power Ice Auger
CAUTION
AVOID INJURY! ALWAYS HANDLE FUEL IN A WELL
VENTILATED AREA, OUTDOORS, AWAY FROM FLAMES
OR SPARKS.
AVOID INJURY! DO NOT START ENGINE IF FUEL IS
SPILLED. WIPE OFF EXCESS FUEL AND ALLOW TO DRY.
REMOVE ENGINE FROM AREA TO AVOID SPARKS.
WARNING
AVOID INJURY! MAKE SURE THE UNIT IS IN A STABLE
POSITION BEFORE PULLING THE STARTER HANDLE.
AVOID INJURY! WHILE STARTING ENGINE, ENSURE
THAT THROTTLE CONTROL IS NOT ENGAGED.
CAUTION
AVOID INJURY! IF AUGER IS MOUNTED TO ENGINE,
ALL SAFETY GUARDS MUST BE SECURELY FASTENED
TO AVOID SERIOUS INJURY.
AVOID INJURY! STARTER ROPE CAN CAUSE AN UNAN
TICIPATED JERK TOWARDS ENGINE. PLEASE FOLLOW
INSTRUCTIONS TO AVOID INJURY.
AVOID INJURY! IF ENGINE FAILS TO START AFTER TRY
ING STARTING PROCEDURES, PLEASE CONTACT OUR
CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT 8003456007
OR VISIT WWW.GETESKIMO.COM.
AVOID INJURY! NEVER LEAVE ENGINE RUNNING
WHILE UNATTENDED. TURN OFF AFTER EVERY USE.
AVOID INJURY! NEVER CARRY POWERHEAD AND AU
GER BETWEEN HOLES WHILE ENGINE IS RUNNING.
6. Do not ll tank completely full, allow for fuel to expand.
7. Screw the fuel cap back on until tight. Wipe away any spilled
fuel, and allow the engine to dry o before attempting to
start the engine.
OPERATION
1. Drill holes without placing downforce on the auger. Allow the
weight of the auger to do the work itself. Using force will add
unnecessary wear to the unit.
2. The clutch will transfer maximum power after two hours of
operation. Some slippage may occur during the break-in peri-
od. Keep the clutch and clutch drum free of moisture and oil.
3. Never run the engine in an enclosed area or indoors. Exhaust
fumes are deadly.
4. Do not use the ice auger for anything orther than drilling
through ice.
5. Always use the blade protector when not in use. This prevents
accidental contact with the blades, and keeps the blades and
point protected.
6. To attach the auger to the output shaft of the unit, align the
holes on the shaft and the auger, and tighten the bolt with
the supplied Allen wrench. Always check that this bolt is tight,
and ush with the auger stem before use.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The A-weighted emission sound pressure level has been
measured at 100 dB L
PA.
The A-weighted sound power
level emitted has been measured at 106.5 dB L
WA.
The total
vibration value for the F1™ power ice auger was measured at
31.3 m/s

Cold Starting Instructions:
Follow these instructions whenever starting an engine that is
cold, cooled o from prior use, rst time operating, or when unit
is run dry of fuel.
1. Turn on/o switch to the “ON” position.
2. Switch the choke lever to the “CHOKE” position.
3. Push the primer bulb until fuel enters the primer line,
allow the bulb to fully return each time.
4. Once fuel is in the primer line, push bulb additional 2-3 times.
5. Pull recoil slowly until recoil has resistance, then using swift
arm length pulls, pull the recoil 2-3 times, allowing it to retract
slowly each time. DO NOT allow the recoil to retract on its
own, as it may snap back quickly and cause injury.
6. If unit does not start, repeat step 4 and 5.
7. Once engine starts, let idle until warm, then switch the choke
lever to the “RUN” position.
Warm Starting Instructions:
1. Turn on/o switch to the “ON” position.
2. Ensure the choke lever is in the “RUN” position.
3. Pull recoil slowly until recoil has resistance, then using swift
arm-length pulls, pull the recoil 2-3 times, allowing it to retract
slowly each time. DO NOT allow the recoil to retract on its
own, as it may snap back quickly and cause injury.
4. If unit does not start, use cold starting instructions.
