hese instructions relate ONLY to this product and contain important
i
nformation for using the product for the first time. Please keep these
i
nstructions for later reference and should always accompany the product
in the event of transference to a new user.
1. Introduction
Dear Costumer, thank you for purchasing the solar light. With this solar light you
purchased a product manufactured according to the current state of technology.
This product fulfils all requirements of the valid European and national
regulations. The conformity was proved. The relevant declara-
tions and documentation are deposited with the manufacturer.
To maintain this state and guarantee a safe operation, you as the
user will have to follow this operating manual!
2. Safety Instructions
- In case of damages caused by not following this operating manual, the
warranty rights will expire! We exclude liability for any consequential dama-
ges!
- We exclude liability for property or personal damages caused
by inappropriate handling or not following the safety instructi-
ons.
- In these cases any guarantee rights will expire.
Due to safety and admission reasons (CE) it is not allowed to arbitrarily recon-
struct and/or change the solar light.
Therefore, please keep to the operating manual.
The accident prevention rules of the association of the industrial trade coopera-
tive association for electric plants and working material are to be considered in
industrial environments.

3. Intended use
The string of lights is automatically switched on at darkness and switched out at
m
orning light. It is possible to select 7 different light programs. With a full accu-
m
ulator, the maximum duration of illumination (depending on the operating
m
ode) amounts to 10 hours. The solar module installed in the upper part of the
h
ousing charges the integrated accumulator. The two switches on the string of
lights are used in order to switch the string on and off or set the desired flashing
m
ode. The string of lights is suitable for outdoor use. The LEDs must not be
i
mmersed into water (pond).

ote: Make sure that the lamp is always adjusted to the south and shadows are
avoided. The product may not be used if adjusted to the north. In the winter, it
i
s required to keep the solar module free of snow. Due to the reduced solar
r
adiation, the duration of illumination will be shorter in winter.
4. Initiation
1. Please carefully take all parts out of the package and unfold the string of
l
ights.
2
. Wrap the string of lights around a shrub or bush. Please make sure that the
string of lights is not permanently positioned in water (e.g. in a pond). Rain
a
nd snow won’t impair the string of lights; it
is suitable for outdoor use.

. Put the right rocker switch into the position
“
AUTO” and the left rocker switch into the
position “ON”. The string of lights is now
s
witched-on and all eight flashing modes
are activated one after the other.
S
etting of a permanent mode:
If you want to permanently adjust a certain mode (e.g. permanent light),
p
lease simply set the switch into the position “MODE” as soon as the desi-
red mode is reached. The desired mode is now fixed.

ote: The string of lights is switched-off in the position „OFF“ and the accumu-
lator will not be charged.
4. The control unit may be inserted into the ground with the ground spike or
screwed to a floor or wall by means of the bracket.
Note: During the winter months, the duration of illumination will generally be
shorter. In case the light should not give light on the first evening, please wait
for a sunny day.
5. Battery replacement
Battery capacity will be lower after one or two years requiring replacement. The
battery is available from the manufacturer and other suppliers. Only batteries of
identical design must be used.
1. Set the left switch into the position “OFF” and
the right switch into the position “AUTO”.
2. Unscrew the 4 screws on the lower part of
the encasement and remove the cover.
3. Remove the battery from the support.
4. Insert the new battery ensuring proper pola-
rity. Close the assembly.
Note: Used batteries should be disposed of
environmentally friendly, i.e. not as a part of
domestic waste. Return them to the supplier,
who is obligated by law to take them back.
6. Malfunctions
Lamp is not automatically switched on at darkness
- An outside light source (e.g. streetlight) simulates daylight and prevents the
lamp from switching on. Place the lamp at a darker location.
Lamp is not switched on at darkness or only for a short period of time.
- Is the lamp connected?
- Accumulator weak or defective. Exchange of the accumulators.
7. Specifications

- Battery: NiMh 1.2 V/2000 mAh
- Illuminating units: 100 LEDs
- Illumination time: max. 10 h with a full battery

Rechargeable battery notes

Rechargeable batteries should not be played with by children. Never leave
rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by children or
pets.
- Rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, disassembled or thrown
into fire. This leads to a danger of explosion!

Leaking or damaged rechargeable batteries can cause chemical burns when
they come into contact with skin. For this reason, please make use of suitable
protective gloves.

Rechargeable batteries should only be replaced by structurally identical rechar-
geable batteries from the same manufacturer. Normal batteries must not be

sed since these are not rechargeable.
- Make sure the rechargeable batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
- For long periods of time of non-use (for example, storage), remove the inserted
rechargeable batteries to avoid damages via the leaking rechargeable batteries.
Disposal:
Dear customer,
please cooperate in avoiding waste. When you intend to dispose of the product in
future, please consider that it contains valuable raw materials suited for recycling.
Therefore, do not dispose it of with domestic waste but bring it to a collection point
for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
